Stressed staff? De-stressing techniques that save money and improve productivity
Stress in the workplace is increasing.
Workers compensation claims have increased by 400% in the last 10 years, and stress-related illnesses result in the longest periods of absenteeism, averaging over 21 weeks. Stress acts like a disease itself: it can start with one person and spread through your workforce, quickly turning a productive team into a destructive one.
- Why wait until stress becomes a WorkCover issue in your workplace?
- Why not learn how to identify the early symptoms of stress in your staff?
- More importantly, do you want to learn what to do about it, before it becomes too late and too costly?
- This workshop is “a must” for you anyone who cares about these issues.
Key benefits of the workshop include:
- Getting the latest research and WorkCover statistics on the costs of stress in the workplace
- Recognising the stress symptom patterns in yourself and your staff
- Identifying daily routines in your workplace that may be building stress levels
- Increasing productivity and reducing absenteeism through the mind-body connection
- Learning some more powerful, 30-second stress buster exercises

Anne Palmer, Director, Zen At Work: Stress Management Consultancy
Anne Palmer is the Director of Zen At Work. She has developed a range of 30-second stress busting exercises, and specialises in delivering empowering seminars / training workshops, on reducing stress in the workplace. Her team also provide de-stressing yoga / pilates / tai chi classes and wonderful head and neck massages in the workplace.
She is well qualified to speak on this subject, as she spent over 10 years as a marketing manager and director: launching multi-million dollar budget, fast moving consumer goods both in Australia and in the UK. During this time she also set up and ran her own marketing agency, working with several multinational organisations. She understands the pressures and stresses of today’s workplace and the demands of budgets in the corporate environments.
Anne is also a practising and qualified Ki Yoga Teacher, and has complemented her studies with additional courses at The Ryoho School and The Nature Care College. Through her studies of many systems, she has identified some simple routines that have been practised for thousands of years as the ultimate stress busters. Anne believes that these practises should not be confined to textbooks or yoga classes, but be taken right into the heart of where stress is: in the workplace. She is passionate about showing people how to recognise the early symptoms of stress, and then teaching them how to manage it through the practical, modern application of tried and tested philosophies and exercises.
